Offerings
Time on the table, with someone who pays attention.
One to one sessions with practitioners we have chosen carefully. Reiki, bodywork, the quiet hands-on work that is hard to put into words and easy to feel.
You book a time, you arrive, and for an hour someone tends to you. That is rarer than it should be. We are building a network where it is normal.
For: Anyone carrying something in their body.
01
What is reiki, and what does a session feel like?
Reiki is a gentle, hands-on or hands-near practice where a trained practitioner works with the body's energy while you rest, fully clothed, on a treatment table. There is no massage and no pressure. You lie down, the practitioner moves slowly around you, and most of what you do is breathe and let go. It is one of the least demanding things you can book, and often one of the most quietly restoring.
People describe warmth, a soft tingling, a heaviness in the limbs, or simply the best hour of stillness they have had in weeks. Some feel a lot, some feel a pleasant nothing and drift off, and both are completely normal. Our Wellness Coordinator is a Reiki Master, and reiki, in person and at a distance, is where many people here first learn what deep rest feels like.
02
What kinds of bodywork and massage will be available?
Our directory holds a growing circle of hands-on practitioners. Registered massage therapy for the person who wants clinical, receipt-backed treatment. Reflexology, working the feet. Craniosacral therapy, so light you can barely feel it. Indian head massage, Thai and shiatsu-style bodywork, and lymphatic work, each as its practitioner joins the founding roster. Different hands for different needs, gathered in one place you can trust.
We are careful about who works here. Registered titles, like Registered Massage Therapist, belong only to the people who actually hold that registration, and we verify it before anyone sees a client. The rest we choose the slow way, by experience and by trust, so that whoever you book, you are in good hands. We would rather have a short list of practitioners we stand behind than a long one we do not.
03
How do I choose between reiki, massage, and the rest?
Start from what you are carrying. If your body aches and you want structured, physical treatment, and possibly a receipt for your insurance, registered massage therapy is the clear place to begin. If you are wrung out, wired, or grieving and you mostly need to be still and tended to, reiki or craniosacral work tends to meet that better. Sore feet and a tired system often point to reflexology.
If you are unsure, you do not have to solve it alone. Our coordinators help people find the right practitioner and the right starting point all the time, and there is no wrong first choice. You can always try one kind of session, see how your body answers, and adjust from there. The work is a conversation, not a commitment.
04
Will I be able to claim these on my insurance?
Some of it, yes, and the honest answer depends on the practitioner's registration and your own plan. Treatment from a Registered Massage Therapist is covered by most extended health plans in Ontario when it is delivered by an RMT, and those practitioners can issue the receipt your plan needs. Coverage follows the provider's registration, not the name of the modality.
Reiki, energy healing, and reflexology are usually not covered as standalone paramedical services, though a health or wellness spending account can often reimburse them. We will always be straight with you about which of our practitioners can issue an insurance receipt, and we will never quote you a price here or promise what your plan will pay. Check your own plan's paramedical schedule, and ask us anything.
05
How do I prepare for my first session?
There is very little you need to do, which is part of why these sessions are such a kind place to start. Come a few minutes early so you are not rushing in flustered. Wear something comfortable, since reiki and craniosacral work are done fully clothed and hands-on bodywork uses professional draping. Eat something beforehand so you are not lightheaded, and drink water. If there is anything on your mind or in your body you want the practitioner to know, that first short conversation is the place to say it.
Beyond that, the best preparation is simply the willingness to lie down and receive, which is harder for some of us than it sounds. Many people spend their whole lives looking after everyone else and find an hour of being tended to almost uncomfortable at first. That passes. You do not have to feel a particular thing, reach any state, or make the session go well. Your only job is to rest on the table and let someone pay careful attention to you for a while.

Questions people ask
The things worth knowing first.
Do I take my clothes off for reiki?
No. Reiki is done fully clothed, lying comfortably on a treatment table. Hands-on massage is different and follows the usual professional draping, with only the area being worked on uncovered and you in control throughout. Your practitioner will always explain what to expect before a session begins.
How long is a one-to-one session?
Most sessions run around an hour, with some shorter or longer depending on the practitioner and the work. Your first visit usually includes a short conversation at the start so the practitioner understands what you are bringing and can shape the time around it. You will know the length when you book.
Can these sessions replace medical treatment?
No, and we will always say so plainly. Reiki, bodywork, and the rest are experiences that many people find calming and restoring, offered alongside your medical care, not instead of it. If something in your body concerns you, please see your doctor. Keep your own care team in the loop about what you are booking.
Which practitioners can give me an insurance receipt?
Practitioners who hold a registration your plan recognises, such as a Registered Massage Therapist, can issue receipts you may be able to claim. We will tell you clearly which of our practitioners can do this. Coverage depends on your own plan, so check your paramedical schedule and ask us if you are unsure.
Where do reiki and bodywork sessions take place?
With the practitioner you book, at their own studio or treatment space, and some offer reiki at a distance you can receive from home. Each listing in the directory shows how and where a practitioner works, and whether they are seeing new clients, so you can choose one whose space and hours suit you.
How often should I book a session?
That depends on you, the practitioner, and what you are working with. Some people come for a single reset when life gets heavy; others settle into a regular rhythm every few weeks. Let your body be the guide, not a schedule. Your practitioner will happily talk through what makes sense for you, with no pressure to book a long series up front.
